Using drone technology to collect information on the current status of critical dyke points

11:34:43, 16/03/2020 In order to supplement the database on dikes and natural disaster prevention and control in service of management, Vietnam Disaster Mamagenemt Authority assigns the Dike Management Department to coordinate with Disaster Prevention Policy and Technology Center to collect information on the status of important dykes through the use of unmanned aircraft technology.

In April 2018, the Center recorded 200 critical dyke points of 16 provinces: Hanoi, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh ....



The critical dyke point of Thai Nguyen province

Using drone technology, the Center's technicians carried out video recording, photography, editing and gathering of information regarding key locations.
Products of the activity include: Videos, photos, descriptions and videos that summarize the province's key points.
These products have been handed over to the Dike Management Department to serve the disaster prevention
