Training on how to use flycam equipment for officers of the General Department of Disaster Prevention

16:45:26, 16/03/2020 In order to enhance the capacity of using unmanned aircraft for the staff of Vietnam Disaster Management Authority to serve the disaster risk management in Vietnam, on April 7, 2018, Disaster Management Policy and Technology Center organized a training course on "Instructions for using flycam equipment" for officials of units in VNDMA.

The content of the training focused on skills such as:

- Introduction of existing Flycam: Phantom 4 Pro, DJI Inspire 2, Mavic

- Instructions for dismantling wings, battery, and how to start, take off,

- Instructions for configuring parameters on the control screen,

- Instruct to read and understand the information displayed, warning on the screen,

- Basic control instruction, using video recording function of 3 types of existing Flycams.
- Practice flying at Yen So park to be able to control the flycam and use equipment effectively.
At the end of the class, participants participated in the test, assessing both theory and practice. Results with 20 officials taking part in learning ,100% of whom had grasp the theory and configuration parameters of the Flycam: Phantom 4 Pro, DJI Inspire 2, Mavic, grasp the technique of checking device before flying, understand about flight precautions and safety flight. The practice has also achieved very positive results: 100% of the participants know how to install the necessary equipment before flying and how to take off and land. However, in order to be able to take off, land safely, and be able to handle incidents in case of errors (or emergency landing), there are still some officials who have not done well. As a result, 18/20 officers participating in the course have good flight ability.
