According to local authorities, the house hit by the falling rock is in Ca village, Ban Cong commune, Ba Thuoc district.
The initial cause was determined to be that the houses were at the foot of the mountain, possibly because these rocks on the mountain had been eroded over time, then vibrated and caused them to fall.

At the time the rock fell, there were people in the house, but fortunately there was no one at the location where the rock penetrated.
Major Vu Van Chien, Chief of Ban Cong Commune Police, Ba Thuoc District, said: “Local authorities were present, assessing the landslide situation and mobilizing people to leave the landslide area. Local people were also present in large numbers to support the transportation of goods to households in areas at risk of landslides.”

The rock crushed the electric pole.
According to local authorities, at the top of the mountain, the rocks are still at risk of further landslides, so to ensure the safety of the people, the authorities and functional forces are urgently evacuating households living at the foot of the mountain to a safe place.
