As one of the missions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Disaster Management Centre has cooperated with other administrations in establishing a technical working group to carry out field trips to good models in disaster management and community climate change adaptation. The technical working group has examined 9 models in Ben Tre, Hue Province, and Ho Chi Minh City.
1. Continue to examine field trip locations across the regions on the basis of selection criteria, thông tin and suitability for the objective of the Conference.
2. Make a list of agents involved in the field trip, who will participate in training programmes organised by IIED in February 2012.
3. Plan for the second field trip with IIED in February 2012.
4. On the basis of selected Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development field trip locations, build up plans, projects and detailed scripts for each field trip locations and each field trip.
5. Seek approval from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Disaster Management Centre for field trip locations.
6. Draft documents that will be shown to Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development including those sent to People’s Committees of provinces with field trip locations, relevant ministries, departments and organisations.
