Overview of the training session
On the afternoon of March 20, 2020, Vietnam Disaser Management Authority organized a training course on using Vietnam's Natural Disaster Monitoring system in the meeting room of A4 house. The Vietnam Natural Disaster Monitoring System was built in 2018, to integrate monitoring information in real and near -real time (such as hydro-meteorological data, reservoir data, ship on sea data ...) combined with existing data on natural disaster prevention works, dikes and local disaster prevention resources, giving an overview of the ongoing disaster situation. Therefore, the system will be a useful tool to serve officials at the central and local levels in disaster monitoring and supervision.
At the training session, Mr. An Quang Hung, Head of Technology Application and Data Management of the Disaster Prevention Policy and Technology Center shared how to use and exploit information on Vietnam disaster monitoring system(VNDMS in short) and VNDMS application for smart phone (IOS, Android operating systems).
