The daily updating information of COP17 by IIED (28/11/2011)

In the first video update from the UN Climate negotiations, IIED’s Senior Fellow in the Climate Change group, Saleemul Huq, outlines the two major issues to be discussed at the COP17:

ü     the fate of the Kyoto protocol and

ü     the structure and functions of the Green Climate fund, set up in Cancun a year ago.

In the video Saleemul Huq also discusses minor issues that will be covered, including:

ü     climate change adaptation,

ü     technology transfer and

ü     reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD).

 

Saleemul Huq will be producing daily video updates from the Conference. (More updating information of COP17)
