Northside: 3 people died due to floods

14:31:28, 05/09/2022 According to the Standing Office of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, floods and storms caused by the circulation of storm No. 3 have killed three people due to floods in the provinces of Dien Bien, Bac Kan and Vinh Phuc.
Flooding has caused 126 houses to lose their roofs and be damaged. Agricultural damage, estimated more than 766 hectares of rice, crops were flooded, waterlogged; more than 5,000 poultry died; 183 hectares of aquaculture were damaged. Regarding crops, nearly 18,000 fruit trees and forestry trees were broken down; 863 urban trees were broken down.

Traffic damage was nearly 14,000 cubic meters of soil and rocks, landslides and slides; 119 traffic points were flooded; 43 power poles, 478m fence wall fell.

The Standing Office of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control suggested that the Northern provinces urgently mobilize forces to assist people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and stabilizing their lives; continue to review, make statistics and report damage./
