Heavy rain caused flood of many houses and hundreds of hectares of crops in Lam Dong

10:2:20, 07/06/2022 Heavy rain lasting for many hours on the morning of May 26 has flooded some areas in My Duc and Da Pal communes of Da Teh district, Lam Dong province. Dozens of people's houses and hundreds of hectares of crops were affected.

According to initial statistics of the authorities, there are 22 houses of people in hamlets 5, 7 of My Duc commune and Xuan Chau village of Da Pal commune have been flooded by water, submerged 0.5m deep. Heavy rains and high water levels also caused 270ha of crops, mainly mulberry trees, fruit trees and some fish ponds of people in low-lying areas of the 2 communes to be flooded and damaged. The inter-village roads, DH95 road passing through Da Pal commune area are eroded and eroded, especially the road sections under construction.

As soon as heavy rain occurred causing local flooding in many areas, the People's Committee of Da Teh district directed communes and functional units to urgently mobilize police forces, militia and youth unions to help people move their belongings. , pets and essential items to a safe place. Along with that, mobilizing excavators to key areas to clear the flow, preventing prolonged flooding causing damage to people's property and crops. Thanks to the timely implementation of natural disaster prevention and control, timely mobilization of forces to support people, the damage caused by heavy rain and flooding was insignificant.

By the afternoon of May 26, the rain had stopped in Da Teh district and the water level was gradually receding. Remedial work is being actively implemented by local authorities and functional forces of Da Teh district./.
