Prime Minister approved Flood and Dike control planning on the Red and Thai Binh rivers system

9:39:58, 24/05/2016 On February 18th, Prime Minister approved Flood and Dike control planning on the Red and Thai Binh rivers system with a total budget to implementation plan (approximately) 112,668 billion VND

The expected period until 2030 is 55,511 billion VND, the period after 2030 is 57,157 billion VND. Capital sources for implementation including: Central budget, local budget, mobilize ODA budget, socialize budget, revenues from auctions from Right susing land river banks or investment in the form of public-private partner (using land river banks).

The overall objective of the planning is proactive prevention and control floods and typhoons on the Red and Thai Binh rivers basin, contribute to stabilize and develop the socio-economic and security and defense; as the basis for establishing and adjusting flood prevention plan detailing the diked rivers, dyke planning, land-use planning, construction planning and the other relevant planning in the provinces and cities in the Red and Thai Binh rivers system and as the basis for the ministries, sectors and localities to manage and administration of the prevention and control floods and storms and building investment plan for prevention and control flood and dyke construction in the medium, long terms until 2030 with a vision towards to 2050.
